H-331 & A-331 Clevis Slip Hook are heavy-duty rigging hooks designed to connect to transport chains for load securement, towing, and lashing applications. They feature a clevis attachment and a safety latch to help keep the chain engaged in the hook.
Materials & Construction
H-331 (G43) version is made from forged carbon steel (Grade 43) – strong and durable for general heavy-duty use.
A-331 (G70) version is made from forged alloy steel (Grade 70) – higher strength for demanding transport and chain-securement jobs.
Both hooks are drop-forged, quenched and tempered, and include a forged clevis pin; all steel parts are heat-treated for durability.
Design & Features
Clevis Slip Hook: The throat of the hook is wider than a grab hook, allowing the chain to slip in and out easily for quick adjustments or releases during tie-down or towing tasks.
Safety Latch: A spring-loaded latch stays over the throat of the hook to help prevent accidental chain disengagement when slack is present.
Markings: Hooks are typically stamped with “G43″ or “G70″ so you can easily identify the grade and strength rating
